What to Expect
Life in Green Hills is characterized by affluent professionals who value luxury, natural surroundings, unique experiences, and family.
Green Hills is an elegant suburban neighborhood a short drive south of Downtown Nashville.
Bordered by prestigious Belle Meade to the west and Lipscomb University to the east, this affluent neighborhood is full of large homes on leafy streets. Green Hills also offers an abundance of upscale shopping and dining.
Green Hills’ development began in the 1930s, and most of its homes are 1950s and ‘60s ranch-style properties on half-acre lots. Recent years have seen the development of Green Hills’ first residential high-rise, Vertis, which offers luxurious amenities and stylish contemporary apartments. The largest and most expensive homes are generally located in the western portion of the neighborhood, where grand multi-million dollar mansions can extend beyond 10,000 square feet in size.
The Lifestyle
This small-town atmosphere offers high-end shopping, stunning luxury homes, and a convenient location for commuting.
The majority of Green Hill’s residents are well-educated, married professionals working in business, management, and Vanderbilt. Green Hills offers a signature feel to its residents leaving little to wonder why it attracts such residents. For those with children, there are many top schools in this area: Montgomery Bell Academy, Harpeth Hall, award-winning Julia Green Elementary, Ensworth, and Acton Academy.
For those who value a quick commute, access to the 440 loops is a straight shot from Hillsboro Pike and an easy drive to medical centers, Belmont, Lipscomb, and Vanderbilt. It is also a quick 20-minute drive to downtown for an alternative variety of nightlife options and urban shops and restaurants.
